I'm visiting my folks in Kansas City over the holdays, and just got back from my favorite game store! I'm good friends with the owner, and he told me about this interesting new campaign he's holding in a few weeks - it's aimed at 40K, but could work for anything I guess.
Here, I'm just copying this from the store website, but this is how it works:
Each General brings a 2000 point-sized army (unpainted models are okay but WYSIWYG is important). All 2000 point lists will be arrayed for inspection by the other Generals who will secretly record their point-bids on all the presented armies. The low bidder on each army wins the right (nay, the duty) to command those forces in battle, but only using the number of points bid! To prevent silliness the average of all a General's bids must be 1500 points. How low can you go for those Blood Angels? How much an advantage do you need to win with Tau? Lets Find out!
Wouldn't this be cool with FoW?!

Ok, Flames of War it is! I'll get the details posted ASAP, but I'm leaning towards 1750 Late War with up to 8 participants (I don't think we have enough terrain to really do more than 4 solid tables, do we?)
