Hm... cool, glad we could secure a place! I would argue in favor of ordering pizza as opposed to a big sandwhich, but I have a feeling little intricacies like that aren't a big deal yet I'm sure we'll talk about it all Friday night.

I was wondering since i have just started to play as wood elves, should i make up my own lil' warband or should I use the one that is for new players? Also is it too late for me to enter a list into the Campeign?

Anyone who can't make the first game on Friday night can just make another 200 point list and add it to the original list (so 400 points total, between 6 and 16 models, at least one character, and may include up to two models from Special choices but no Rares) Anyone that can't make it right at 11 can show up later and join the game in progress the same way later arrivals can on Friday.

Dave, since we're doing painted minis, I'll provide you a warband from my wood elves, and you can also play as them in the campaign if you want to participate and then as you get stuff painted you can swap stuff out with mine and add new units in and start changing the starting list and doing your own thing.

Evan just sent me a message that we'll be able to open up the firehouse at 11AM rather than 10AM, so anyone wanting to help set-up can get there with me at 11, and everyone else any time after 11:30 or so. I'll be starting the game at noon.

When we get the upgrades for our armies with the points we got, When do we apply the extra stuff. For example, It i got 10 points, i get 6 specials unit and 100 points. When do we apply that?

Jeez... just checked out the levelling up rules and point system and stuff.
If I read correctly, not only does Muninn get six (!!!) rolls on the experience table, but in addition my warband gets to tote around 100 extra points with tons of Rare and Special options.

If I read correctly also, my hero survived (1 XP) and got a kill (1XP), for a total of a single roll on the table. I also scored 7 VP, so I get up to a total of 7 special ( 5 from chart, 2 from default) and a single rare, in addition to 50 more points. Is this correct? because I can think of several things I can take for 250pts

Hey guys, I'm glad you all enjoyed the game last night. It was a lot of fun for me as well. I just uploaded the pics I took to my laptop and looks like there's some great shots! Those of you who were at Starbucks after witnessed me do all the rolling on the neccessary charts and I'll be doing a results post soon. First I'm going to send you all your clues from the villagers you rescued or captured, so watch your private messages!

Quick update for everyone - I'm actually going to be there a little later than 11 - probably closer to 12. I thought my storage place opened at 10 on Sunday but they actually don't open till 11 so I'll have to be there right at 11, grab the Shellendrak terrain, and head right over there.
Another thing I wanted to let everyone know is that I've decided that since there's no PVP we can probably speed things along by having the players all go at the same time, and alternating with my turns like in a warhammer game. The player turn will be broken into phases, and all players must complete one phase before starting another one. First all players declare charges. Then all compulsory movement is done. Then all players do their normal movement. Then the shooting phase (two opposing players shooting at the same thing go on initiative). Then melee phase (again multiple players charging the same thing go on initiative. Also 'good' warbands will only be march-blocked by members of 'evil' warbands (and Shellendrak's minions of course), and vice versa.

This game was soooooo much fun. The new turn system gave us much more turns to play, I think we got through 7 or 8 turns.

It was indeed a great game! thanks Dr C for all the effort you put into it. I had a great time! the turn system was good, though I do have to say it took much longer than I anticipated, BUT, on the positive side, I got to complete my Knight on foot that was still in base colors.
GREAT GREAT time! thanks again EVAN for hooking us up with that place! great venue!!
and for all involved, thank you too for making this such a fun event.
