Well, I've had this concept in my head for a long time and I finally got the motivation to get over to Home Depot and pick up the parts I need to build it! This project was born one night when Bob and I were discussing how we have a ton of small terrain, but no large impassible Blocking LOS terrain. The parts are all PVC fittings that I picked up on the cheap, used basic pipe glue to put it all together (its handy being a plumber). My next step is to spruce up the model, Im planning on using some tank hatches as man holes, maybe throw on some ladders and Imperial Symbols. Then comes paint, well I'll post more pictures as it comes along.

Awesome dude! I'd been meaning to do something like that for ages myself. What did you use for the tanks themselves? And what did you use for the base? Can't wait to see the finished product. You can probably try railworks or hobby town for some good ladders if you don't have any from GW kits

So James, When will we see the finished painted version of this??? or does Eric have you busy with something else right now?
Excellent piece BTW Eric - and I am only kidding about the paint job - I am sure you can handle this one between all your other plans.

needs a touch up here and there, unless you paint it to look like rust? Very good, nice addition for any 40k game

Fantastic, really Eric. You've outdone yourself here I think the grey could use either a wash, highlights, some metallic paint; just a little something to add depth to it. Ya know? Either way, I'm pumped to use it... can't wait to get back to the shop and get some games in.

Yea, its definatly not complete yet. Im thinking about trying some weathering techniques using a brown wash. And it desperately needs a nice sand filled base. Just need to consult my hobby experts on how best to proceed.
As an aside, im really liking this whole terrain building thing. I get a lot more satisfaction out of it. Must be the contractor in me.
