Really nice Tom! I've not seen Cromwells with those brown turrets before, is that something unique to a specific unit?
Next stop, Airborne!

Those are Comets. The brown is the dust cover over the gun mantlet.

Thanks guys! So our lack of snow days led to the past three days off. Which means I wound up painting and being generally productive Mon, Tues, and Wednesday. I have to say I thought I didn't have a lot left to do in terms of detail work on many of these models, but I realized as I got into it that I had plenty to finish. I managed to complete: 8 Halftracks, 3 Panzer IIIs, 2 Ostwinds, 10 Comets, a Full German HMG platoon, 2 scenic objectives, and 5 kubel wagons (if anyone wants to buy some fully painted ones, let me know I don't need all of them.) I had thought I would be able to clear my que and start the airborne, but that will have to wait for another weekend. That said, my procrastination is over. I have completed every half-done thing sitting on my table. My work space is clear, and the airborne will begin very soon....I know I've said that before, but I'm super serious this time. Pics or it didn't happen: Kubel wagons Scenic Objective #1 - "Not Enough Camoflage" Scenic Objective #2 - "No Cattle Rustling" HMG Platoon (supposed to be winter, but I didn't care, and painted them as standard Grenadiers) I tried a new basing method, and sprinkled the grit on top of the putty after laying it down, and then base coated on top of it. I relied entirely on painting instead of using the basing materials to give the effective of ground. I think it worked out pretty well, but I don't know how I would order the steps when making use of the scenic rubble bases. Enjoy! comments always welcome.
