"Every soldier must know, before he goes into battle, how the little battle he is to fight fits into the larger picture, and how the success of his fighting will influence the battle as a whole." - Bernard Montgomery
The Time has come Gentlemen. To see how Ordo-Ineptus fights out this historical campaign. The last time was 4 years ago, and it was a nail biter. This time, it should be no different.
We will be using the Firestorm Market Garden System to play out 5 Campaign Turns. Each will last 2 weeks (approximately). In that time, you can fight as many battles as you like, play any role you desire (as long as you stay on one team...no turntcoats), and have a ball. Kevin will lead the German Forces, and I'll lead the allies.
When you sign up, just list what forces you have, or are interested in playing. We'll try and keep it to the Market Garden Forces, but as long as its a LW Army, it can work. I'll also start a Private Message with the Allies to discuss overall Strategy and goals (I'll assume Kevin will do the same for the Germans)

Our Opening Battles will take place on Saturday July 9th at Hobbytown. If you can come to that, let me know so I can prepare table accordingly on Friday Night.
Allies - Tom M. Commanding
1. George P - 101st
2. David - 82nd
3. Wes - British and canadian Armor and infantry
4. Rodrigo - 11th Armoured Division
Axis - Kevin D. Commanding
1. Jim X - German Panzers
2. Shane - all the Germans.
3. Greg R - Fallschirmjager
4. Grady N. - German Panzers
Some other FAQ I would anticipate:
1. I can't play during "x" campaign turn, I'm on vacation in Syria. Is that ok?
Yup.
You play when you can, and if you can't be here for every turn, others will play games and carry on without you.
2. Can I join late? I just noticed the campaign and didn't sign up before July 8th?
Yes you can. As long as you pick a side and stick with it, you can join for any, all, or none of the campaign turns. You can even just come on for the final battle. The more the merrier.
3. I don't have Paratroopers but I want to play paratroopers...should I cry in a corner?
No! Guess who has everything? this club. Kevin has the makings of nearly any German list you can imagine, so does Rod, Me, George, Dave, Etc. etc. I will personally be leaving the following forces in the back room at Hobbytown for the summer so people can play with them. If you want a game, and don't have the troops to try out, ask and you shall recieve.
-British Motor Company
-British 5.5" and 25pdr batteries
-Sherman Company
-Cromwell Company
-German Grenadier Company
-Kampfgrupper Hummel and the MG Warriors
-German Panzer IV's
4. How many points? - Lets have 1500 as the standard. (if opponents agree to larger or smaller numbers let each other know.)
5. How do I record my game for the campaign?
There will be a sign-in sheet for each campaign turn, this way, battles aren't repeated, and we have a written record to fall back on if things get lost in the shuffle. You can also post here on the forum thread for that campaign turn. Also, feel free to take picture and post an AAR of your battles during the course of the campaign, this way we can post them and make it more narrative and fun.
When posting info, make sure you note: Campaign turn - who attacked, who defended, where they attacked from and to. (this way we don't repeat the same battle in a campaign turn) and if any firestorm troops were used (and what happened to them)*
*We will show you what firestorm troops are and when you could use them. But be aware that you can't have more than one firestorm unit past what the defender has.
For example: If the Defending German has 1 firestorm unit, the allied attacker could use 2. If the defender has none, the attacker may only use 1.
So What is there left for an eager player to do?
Post here with which side you'd like to fight on, what force/forces you are interested in playing and show up on July 9th for some games to get started.
Happy hunting folks, and check your PMs for upcoming allied and axis planning meetings.
