For folks staying over on Saturday night, I was considering seeing if we could get reservations at the Comedy Club in the mall there. Saturday night's 9:30 show is Shawn and Marlon Wayans. Ticket prices are $40, and if I read it right there's a two drink minimum. Details are here: levitylive.com/show.cfm?id=261641&cartPM me here or email rodaacwgc AT gmail DOT com if you're interested...I'm hoping we'll have enough interest that we might get a block reduced rate or a free drink or something! 18 and over only, sorry!

When Tim and I rolled up this morning, it was a pleasant surprise to find that Sean had the weekend off and was able to play after all.
I lost big game one, won big game two, and barely clinched the win game three after a very close game. Tim lost big game one, won pretty big game two, and lost game three. Sean won big his first two games, not sure how his third game went but someone said that he lost.
The predominant meta is definitely well represented -- tons of Tau, lots of Eldar, lots of Daemons; and then a smattering of the other "almost good" 6th edition codices allied with themselves (Space Marines, Grey Knights, Necrons, Chaos Space Marines, and the former big three). Only three total Tyranid players; and come to think of it I believe Tim is the only Dark Angels player!
I personally feel the pain of running an assault army in a shooty edition... doesn't help that the shooty army I keep fighting is Grey Knights, who I can't really bully with Monstrous Creatures as carelessly as I can everyone else.
As usual, everyone there is awesome and we're all having a blast. Tired, catching up on sleep tomorrow for a long day two. Hope to see some people there!

Had an amazing time yesterday hanging out at the tournament. While I'm sorry I ended up not playing, I'm glad I finally got to attend one of the BFS events I'd been hearing such great things about the last few years from my Ordo brethren, and I wasn't dissapointed. The folks at BFS do an awesome job putting these things together and picked a great location for this year's event the Palisades Mall. I had a good time ice skating with Arlin and Bobby and sweating rivets crawling around the 85 foot scaffolding like an Amazing Race contestant with Bob Sr + Jr in between watching the games, and enjoyed getting to sit around afterward at the hot wings sports bar with the rest of the club members while burning my lips off on mango halbanero sauce and watching football on the big screen. I took lots of pics of the tables and armies which I'll post on our Facebook page. Congrats to Tim Wright for Best Painted Mini and runner up for Best Painted Army, and to Sean Nayden for Bracket Champion! (can't remember the name but it was the second highest bracket)
