So As the year begins, I wanted to start this thread up again. I enjoyed doing this last year, and even through school derailed me from getting any painting done this fall, I liked having this as a record of what did get done, as well as a running list of what my goals were for the year.
I'm diving into a new game, and I think I've put more money down on Armada than any game I've ever done that with having only played 1 game before I plopped down my money. Thankfully that doesn't mean a ton of painting. But it does mean some
Armada
-Rebel Fighter Squadron Box
-Rebel Fighter Squadron Box -Starter Box -Xwings -tie fighters
Flames of War
Germans
-Tiger Platoon (5 Tanks)
-German Mortar Platoon
-German 10.5cm Artillery Battery
-German HMG Platoon
-SS Hero Units from Market Garden Blister
3 Panzer IIIs
2 Ostwinds
5 Kubelwagons
British -4 25 pdrs
-2 Platoons of Comets -1 Platoon of Shermans + a Firefly
8 M5 Halftracks
Airborne (see upcoming separate thread)
Terrain
-2 Scenic Objective Markers -Display Board for Western European Games -Hills -Felts for Forrest -Roads (Built) -All Houses and Ruins Painted

"Red Group, Gold Group, All Fighters Follow Me!" So I finished up all the Xwings from the starter Box, and 2 Full Boxes of Rebel Fighters. I'm sure I'll come to hate them in game terms. But they are too cinematic and cool to overlook. Ywings - Gold, Silver, Yellow, Bronze Squadrons XWings - Red, Orange, Green, Purple, Burgundy, Teal, Ocean, Grey Squadrons A Wings - Ocean, Red, Forrest Squadrons and Tycho's AWing BWings - Teal, Navy, Red and Midnight Squadrons

Tom, these are fantastic! I was only going to paint the TIE's I needed for my Imperials, but I think I'll give my Rebels a paint job too! When are we going to play a game?

Tiger Tanks and 10.5cm German Artillery Almost scraping the bottom of the barrel with the Germans. I have some leftover Panzer IIIs as well as 2 Ostwinds and a blister of German MG's which I'll be doing in Winter basing to go with the Piper list I have in mind. At this pace I should have them done next week, and then I move back to the British for some halftracks and Comets as well as my 25pdrs (to bring me back up to an 8 gun battery. Pics!
