Brian and I finally had the chance to battle and it was worth the wait! a very fun battle that ended in a Draw decided by table quarter control!
Key pointers:
1. Brian's Giant... leveled to the ground by a charge from my Knight Errants and 2 rounds of hand to hand combat (with an extra help by one volley of arrows right at turn 1).
2. Brian's Trolls! they vomited my Grailies to their grave! 2 rounds of hand to hand combat and my heaviest unit was gone!
3. The Marauder Sandwich I ate! a Hammer and Anvil (or an Evil Clap, more like), squeezing in a whole unit of marauders with two lances of Knight Errants.
4. Brian's wizard! miscasting himself to the chaos wastelands.
A great game! very fun and very exciting.
Thanks, Brian!

Hahaha, thank you G! It was a great game on everyone's parts. Some of the outstanding moments for me... 1) Hey, my Giant may have gotten pulverised but he did a good job of taking the knight's charge and holding for the turn. The Giant (Tolo, Bob dubbed him...? I can't remember ) may not have hurt much, but Ld 10 and Stubborn meant that G's +12 combat resolution was all wasted! I think he's a great anvil (certainly doing better than my Marauders have) and will probably drop the Warrior unit for him. 2) The Chaos Trolls faired pretty well too. The Regeneration save was fantastic against the knights, as it couldn't be negated by high strength. That and the fact Mutant Regeneration gave them all sorts of handy buffs made them a great unit, even if stupidity does screw me over sometimes Barfing on the Grail Knights and killing 4 or 5 over two rounds of combat was priceless. 3) The Marauder sandwich was quite funny, those silly Vikings just didn't know what to do! 4) My Wizard disappointed me all game, he couldn't get a spell off due to bad rolling and G's scrolls, and finally he just got fed up and blew himself up! I thought it was funny at the time, until after the game I realised that I had handed G 100 free victory points by killing the wizard myself, which could've tipped the game balance in my favor. 5) My Chaos Knights did pretty well too, beating up on the Pegasus Knights and dealing with another unit of knights on the flank before charging blindly off the board. I tried them without MoK (to balance the points for the Giant) which ultimately worked fine, they still had enough hitting power to cause havoc and I don't have to worry about them charging off where I don't really want them too. 6) I think one of the greatest combats was the final one, in which my block of Warrios of Chaos were charged from both sides by Pegasus Knights and men at arms, but fiercly fought back and managed to win the combat! Despite having some bad penalties, G's units still stuck around to continue the fight (Too bad we had to pack up). I'm getting a little better with the Fantasy system I think and definitely having loads of fun with each game I play. The rules are fun, the Warriors of Chaos book has some solid choices that make up for my stupid noob mistakes too.

It was a very fun battle indeed. The make-shift terrain was replaced by turn 2 to real woods and hills.

Do you get it? REAL woods. Like the reals inside the tapes.
