I've been wanting to include some centigors in the beast army, but I HATE the models (big centaurs, but they have like giant bear feet! What?! Hooves!!! Give them hooves!!) and they're way too expensive. But today I found this: www.seibertron.com/energonpub/viewtopic.php?f=106&t=6497 Knighly Order horse bodies, Chaos Marauder torsos and Heads, and some spears from new Marauder Horsemen...should be doable on the cheap and pretty easy!

Sounds like this is going to be a sweet conversion. Can't wait to see what spawns from this cool design.

I actually personally prefer the GW minis. I like to think of centaurs as something the wood elves would have (and why they've yet to put any in the army list, I have no idea) and beastmen as more beastly, so as to be more of a grotesque combination of different animals, so I don't mind the clawed feet. Still, I think the conversion looks great and they would be a nice addition to your army. A friend of mine has some centigors that he's offered to trade me for painting some of his stuff (that's how I got my flamers of tzeentch), so maybe after I get my campaign army painted I'll take him up on that.

That's a nice conversion, the other way to go would be with a Chaos Marauder Horsemen boxset, it is somewhere around $20 and the figs have more dynamic pose

Yeah the chaos Marauder horsemen would have all of the bits you needed, and then you'd be only buying one kit.

Wow! that will be a sweet conversion. Mounted Yeomen's horses (or regular, non-barded horses, for that matter) would also work. I was thinking in suggesting LoTR steeds for this, but these are smaller than Fantasy's and what would have meant to be a tough unit may look girlie... so don't go that way.

Hahaha, nice Lotr comment G Yeah, I'm with Jason/Rod too... if I remember correctly you could do this all using just the Chaos Marauder Horsemen box, use the cool horse bodies,, toss ont he rider torsos where the horse heads go and viola!

The new marauder horsemen box's horses necks do not lend themselves to mounting of the marauder torsos, which are in a sitting posture so missing the bottom-abdomen detail. The inner-circle horses have that nice neck-hole were the heads go, and the maraduers have those nicely chiseled spartan abs and an appropriate 'leaning forward' posture. Plus I can get the bits to do up some of those for < $10. Mauarder Horsemen are $22!!

Wow, it is still cheaper your way... I'd stick with that then!

Makes sense though a little green stuff would also help to fit the torso in the marauder's horses.
