Okay so I've got my minis together for the tournament in Tampa on Sunday the 9th and am hoping to familiarize myself with the rules before then. I've just got to finish assembling a couple of them and I'm all set. I'm going in all metal and plastic, since I know that if I even start trying to paint anything I'll just stress myself out about trying to finish every last one of them before this weekend.
The way the tournament works is that everyone brings 2 different lists, each with a different warcaster, and then before each game, after they know who their opponent is and what two lists they have, they decide which of their two lists they will use for that game. Since I only have enough models for one 35 pt list, the only difference between my two lists will be the warcaster.
List A (35 pt Cryx) Iron Lich Asphyxious (+6 warjack pts) Nightmare helljack (10 pts) Harrower helljack (10 pts) Cankerworm bonejack (5 pts) Ripsaw bonejack (5 pts) Ripsaw bonejack (5 pts) x5 Bile Thralls & leader (5 pts)
List B (35 pt Cryx) Witch Coven of Garlghast and Egregore (+5 warjack pts) Nightmare helljack (10 pts) Harrower helljack (10 pts) Cankerworm bonejack (5 pts) Ripsaw bonejack (5 pts) Ripsaw bonejack (5 pts) x5 Bile Thralls & leader (5 pts)
Any imput or strategy tips would be helful and much appreciated. Like I said, I'm going to familiarize myself with the rules this week, but I'm pretty much going in blind for this one, though my main goal is just to get some games in and learn the system, plus meet some more gamers down here.

Ah stuff came up yesterday and I ended up not going. It was starting at 3PM, which I had never seen before for an event at a gaming store, especially on a Sunday. For morning events you're up and out of the house early before things have a chance to come up and take time out of your day! I ended up on the phone for an hour when I needed to be packing up minis and walking out the door to get down to Tampa. There's an 1850 40K going on next week that I'm going to go to, so I'm still going to be getting some gaming in. From what I've seen none of the tournaments at the places around me seem to have a lot of planning involved, so the upside is to that is that they do a lot of them, and there should be another war machine event to go to eventually. Since you guys have all been doing lots of games on Vassal, I think I want to do the majority of my WarMachine playing online anyway - give me time to paint the minis!
Thanks for remembering about it though! I hope to have good things to report the next time!

I dig the lists, bile thralls are pretty spiffy i just really don't like the way the look. The nightmare is a super solid jack, but i don't think that the harrower is worth all those points, my favorite jack right now for cryx is the reaper cause its 7 points of badass, its harpoon can take people out from behind jacks and pull them into combat, and its melee power is pretty high and it does well when backed by your caster.

I like the two helljacks combination. I'm personally more a fan of the Corruptor for long range based on all I've read, but with the Nightmare I like the Harrower. You get a long range shot that's not impeded by LOS and you get a Jack that can effectively charge 10" at its prey, also not impeded by terrain. And the soul tokens on the Harrower can really boost you up. Plus, with the special attack of your melee weapon, you can possibly deal a good amount of damage to a lot of models in one round if you get stuck in close. I'd say use Deneghra for the Nightmare, but I don't know if that's worth it.
