....thanks for all the losses. I really like the guy, but I think I'm switching my caster to.... battlecollege.wikispaces.com/KaelyssaMore focus, more warjack points, more obvious feat benefits, and cheaper more versatile spells. She lacks stealth, but in a 15 point list, I can just hide her behind two squads of mage hunter strike forces. Her model is also somewhat lame, especially compared to Garryth. Check out this tier 1 list (it's like what I played last night, but by switching out my caster I can add another strike force and I get the UA for free). Kaelyssa +7 Phoenix 3 Mage Hunter Assassin 2 Mage Hunter Strike Force (6) 5 Mage Hunter Strike Force (6) 5 Mage Hunter Commander Free! Best part is that I have all the models, but her. So, I'll sideline Garryth for a bit.

Chris, I'm liking this new girl, her abilities seem pretty cool. The fact that she is WJ +7 and you use a tier for more free points really gives you a numeric advantage. I really like the spell banishing ward. Against your nemesis harbinger, a unit with this spell on would require an input of atleast 7 of harbies focus to cataclysm it to death. Her feat is kinda cool. I feel it will take some practice to get effective use out of it, but no less could be said about garryth's feat. Giving your army basically an extra turn before getting charged should definatly help slow down khador freight trains

So checking up on the retribution let me see if I get this right.
Only the one unit with the attachment will be able to see through terrain and such right?
Also when reading about that commander it says he is an officer or something and so when he dies he doesnt replace a regular guy... does this mean that when he dies the unit will lose all his special rules and abilities?

Yea thats correct sean. So if you are able to pick off the unit attachment, you basically hamstring the unit with little effort. I know as we get better at this game we'll all have to tighten up our movement game for this very reason. Right now I run my Gun mage officer all over the place, but I know that time in the sun is limited .

I'll take another look, but I believe the Tactic remains after the attachment dies. This isn't the case with all bonuses, but it is with Tactics.

Yean I looked it up and I guess youd be right about the tactics sticking around.
Oh well guess the monks will have to kill the whole squad off.
