The spell in specific I have a question about is Occulation (spell that gives target stealth) Its says "Target friendly model/unit gain Stealth" it has a range of 6, and I was wondering because it doesnt say self for range am I able use it on the warcaster himself?

You can indeed! A synopsis on targeting lingo used by Privateer press Friendly model: Any model that is part of your force, that you are currently in control of (this includes your warcaster). The current control part is there, because there are ways for your opponent to temporarily take control of some of your models. Friendly Faction model: A model that is part of your force, and in your control, that is listed as being a member of whichever faction your playing. This would exclude models/units that are from the mercenary book. This is key to note as most of the more powerful spells (like signs and portents) will not work on mercenary models in your force. Friendly Battlegroup model: Only a warcaster and the warjacks that he is in control of(can allocate focus to) are considered to be part of the battlegroup. This stipulation is usually intended for even more powerful or special use spells, as they may only target the caster and his personal warjacks. Also to note, a warcaster may target himself with spells that have a numeric range value, and are always considered to be effected by spells that have a rng value of "ctrl". Spells can also list targets by type: Warjacks and beasts are obvious . However some spells and abilities only work on "warrior" models. These will not effect warjacks or beasts, but only work on "infantry" units and solos. Warrior models can be further delineated as living or not. Ok im done going on

Thank you Eric for now Strakhov is just as amazing as I thought he was, I played Dante two times last night, where from mission I won one of the two games for mission but we played them both out and I was destroyed in the end, but because of Occulation I was able to hide from his scary jacks as they fazed through all my defenses. Cryx have some awesome spells.

By far the most ridiculus, annoying, annoying spell in this game. Combine the better than average speed of the warcaster + stealth = an unkillable warcaster and an annoyed opponent...

But Dante, Deneghra has stealth as well. Plus there are many ways to cancel out stealth. First of all stealth only works against ranged attacks, and has no effect at all in melee. Second, stealth is canceled out if the model making the ranged attack is within 5" of the model with stealth. Third, the wording for stealth says a ranged attack "automatically misses". This is important, because it doesn't mean you can't target the model. For example, if you shoot an AOE spell/weapon at a stealthed target, the shot will automatically miss, and scatter. However if the aoe only scatters and inch or two, then the model will most likely still be under the template and atleast take a 1/2 strength hit. Finally, look through your faction book for ranged attacks that "automatically hit" there is a specific rule that states that automatically hit completely negates automatically miss, so not only will your attack not miss, you don't even need to roll to hit!

I was just angry because with stealth, unless your 5inches away you can't charge. So you move into that 5 inches to catch up to them, then they run away, the most you can hope for is to get close enough for free attacks when they try and move out.

You were wrong -- Stealth means that ranged attacks auto-miss. Nothing in there about LoS, so nothing in there that prevents charging someone with Stealth on them. So, you would have been able to easily charge Strakhov. And believe me, he ain't that tough in combat

yeah hes not tough, it was me being lazy and not wanting to check the rules again in the book, but we were aware of the 5" and it makes sense in your head that you cant charge but oh well.
