Well I've decided them I am going to go against my nature and actually take it upon myself to paint an entire army! Like really put some effort forth. (ask James, its basically a miracle) I'll admit that much of my motivation stems from the fact that i've magically found a way to get Rachel (soon to be wife) actually interested in something made by Games Workshop- namely Painting Skinks!!!! So anywho, I'll use this space to chronicle my process and share some images I hope everyone will enjoy! Just a note, I'll also be keeping a full album of my work on my Hobzob page: Lizardmen AlbumDay 1-2: Cold One Rider ChampionSaurus Warriors With SpearsSkinks with Javelins and Shields

Ok Day 1-2: I've been working on my 8 model Warband for our upcoming Shenneldraks Revenge. The warband consists of a Scar-Vet hero on a cold one, 3 Saurus warriors, and 4 skink skirmishers! First off, this is my temporary Scar Vet hero. The model is actually going to end up being my Cold One Rider Unit Champion but for now he will do! To paint the Saurus body I primed the entire model black. Then used a basecoat of Shadow Grey. After a coat of that I added a thraka green wash to vary up the depth a bit. The Spines were done in Hawk Turquoise. The Cold One is basically just Dark Angels Green. Lots of Shining Gold to trim out the model, and Red Gore for the eyes. Thanks for checking in!

My favorite is the orange skink with teal scales! Great looking lizards!

I've never really gotten to see the newer models up close like that and painted. They really are great sculpts. You did a great job with them - they really look terrific! Good work with the camera too - you really got all of the detail. Did you go with no flash and a lot of lighting? I'm with Bob on the orange and teal one, though the lemon lime skink also drew my eye. I hope that wasn't Rachel's first time with a paintbrush cause I'd have to break down and cry like a little girl - those skinks look great
