Lot of contradicting rumors concerning plastic kits for existing units, the flesh golem unit seems to be one everyone says is in, and that sounds good to me, so long as the rules and models for them don't suck. (please don't let them be fineca$t) It'll be good to revisit the Kingdom of the Zombies in 8th

I'm also hoping they de-suck the zombies again, otherwise I'll probably be using all mine as ghouls

They would deffidently pass for them if u ask me. I mean i always found it strange of the different 'breeds' of zombies there are. There are zombies in warhammer and DnD, which are just necrotic flesh bags that are destroyed with the flick of the wrist, prehaps because they take the necrotic flesh idea seriously? No tissue really to hold them together?
But then you have zombies from more modern fiction that show them as an indestructible killing force that being cut in half means nothing to them and the only way to stop them is to destroy the brain. Max brook's zombies for example.
But then you have another strand of zombie that is the rabies (ish) zombies who appear in L4D and the dawn of the dead series, and even these zombies range form marathon runners to purposeful killers.
So many zombies it seems....not sure if i had a point to this...just talking i think haha. I hope zombies get better in the new book cause they didn't nessarily get any worse in the current edition its just everything else got better =P

Vargeists kind of meh to me but the coven throne/mortis engine kit looks pretty sweet!

Everything's up for advance order on the GW site. I'm loving the new model of Krell.

Krell is awesome, the Wight King rocks, the Mortis Engine kit looks amazing and I'm really digging the hexwraith and black nights. The Vargeist to me are also a bit meh. Most of that stuff looks much better in person however so I'll reserve calling them crap for now...

Great write up! So would you say overall that they made a conscious effort to bring the VC back into balance with the recent codexes they've been putting out, or did they cynically go back to codex creep as soon as they got done with the books for the armies that had small fan bases?
