I agree with Bobby. Cut the Giant and beef up the Goblin units. I don't think 30 (6 ranks) is enough. You'll lose 12-15 to a heavy-hitting unit, leaving PROBABLY not enough ranks for steadfast. Also that Spider NEEDS the Flinger! PS Glad you're coming, thx for response!

drop the netters from the goblins. Use those extra points for more stuffs

I kinda disagree. That Str reduction seems pretty nice to keep a few more bodies alive to stay steadfast.

so remove the giant and get a flinger for the spider, I have 170 left Drop the unit of 21 goblins and 3 fanatics unit and buff my other goblin units (so each unit gets and extra 20ish goblins) Use the last 170 points to upgrade my orc unit to be tough and stead fast, I think gettting an extra 24 orcs

I'm not a huge fan of the O&G magic items and would probably kit my heroes out a little differently. I usually try to gear a little more for protection on my characters. In 8th it is not as important to have a super killy character, it is more often better they survive or soak up damage. But having a character kill 32 guys on his own is cool.
Also, maybe for combat upgrade a unit of Orcs to big'uns. You can use the same models and spend more points!

But armor of Gork is so nifty. What with its d6 magic resistance? That can be real spiffy sometimes. Dont know how the stunty smashing hammer works. Enlightenment? I gotta agree with bob. Those nets are essential to goblins.

bob and I had recently a game and I realized that the new rules for the doom diver actually make it better than the common stone trower, just trowing it out there in case your looking for something to use any extra points

Well the armor of gork gives me +D3 toughness and also some impact hits the stunty smashin axe gives me +1S +1ws and hatred of dwarfs (I think) and that doubles while fighting dwarfs I really can't get any good armour instead of the stunty axe thing, and he won't need the protection from shooting and is pretty strong in close combat. I'm not sure how sold I am on doom divers, if I were ever to go and get a shooting army, then I would go with 6 spear chukkas, 2 rock lobbas, then 2 doom divers but I don't feel their needed for this list

bob and I had recently a game and I realized that the new rules for the doom diver actually make it better than the common stone trower, just trowing it out there in case your looking for something to use any extra points I don't know if I would say a general "better". They are more accurate, but do fewer hits. Remember in 8th there are no 'partials'...so any model under a Stone Throwers template is auto-hit...I believe on 20mm bases that's something like 15 models? I think the Doom Diver is more accurate for dealing with things like chariots and cavalry units...maybe even softer monsters (like the Giant Fred!). I think a mix of some different heavy ranged weapons would be a very point effective thing to add to an O&G list. A couple Bolt Throwers, a Stone Thorwer, a Doom Diver. Great stuff!

Yeah. Doom diver is ace. Almost never misses. And as it is not a template per say but a random number of hits is great for single models, but still can do some damage to units. You gotta ask yourself the question does your list have more answers/need support against units or solo beasties/chaff?
