Can we update the list of participants to see how many slots are left, Rod? Paint scoring is fair, hopefully I can get it all in once I'm home for the summer! Will it be based off the final 35 point list used, with both casters (if two are chosen)?

Assuming that there is no fee I'm in. A few questions that hopefully won't happen, mainly though is oroxying aloud? I'm goig to try and stay clear of this as much as possible but let's say I were to order pvlad and drago, and they didn't show up for a few weeks, an they were intended for use in one of the games coming up in X amount of time, then is it fine if we use akeem equivalent in base sizes?
Anyway, I should be in with psoashca (the battle box caster) and pvlad

Quick Question, Are tier lists allowed?

Sionnach19 – Participants list is updated, although there is not slots limit and paint scoring will be based off the 15, 25 and 35 points lists, that is three chances to get Hobby Points Dante – The battlebox is not a requirement, but we all know that it is the easiest way to start an army Gretchinmike – there is no fee and proxy is allowed, however the actual models are required for Hobby points Hivemindbob – Tier lists are allowed only for the last three league rounds

So someone can play 8 games, win 4 of them and report 2 of those 4 wins? Getting 3 points for each win, and the 2 losers of those reported games each get 1.
I just want to make sure I understand it right.
Also, I start with a 15 point list of Warcaster A, 2 units and 2 jacks. The whole first week I have to stay with Warcaster A, and can't switch anything else until Thursday.
Are these lists supposed to be posted ahead of time? It might be a lot easier to just keep the restrictions to the caster and not worry about the rest of the army.

I just started the thread for everybody to post their lists for round one and I'll do the same every Saturday morning. What I'm trying to do here is to even things up for the new guys that are just starting an army; they just might not have as many models as more veteran players.

I like it! So 2 casters for the entire event, huh? That makes things interesting...
Are we allowed to include character warjacks/warbeasts throughout the event or only during certain rounds? Do we need to declare both warcasters/warlocks during the first round? Or can I just stick with one until I decide I want to try someone else (max still 2, of course)?
I don't know about anyone else, but I think we should keep character warjacks/warbeasts out until Round 5 at the earliest. I don't think anyone wants to see Deathjack or Molik Karn in 15 points, let alone the new players.

But I'm a new player and I like character jacks D:
I intended on bringing Drago and vlad at 15 points, but that would also remove canker worm ( I think) which absolutly destroys everything at that points level

It isn't friendly to bring a nasty character like Molik Karn to such small games, but I don't think that many of us our really new at WM/H. I'm sure broken non-character combos exist as well... besides, anyone who's wasting so many points on a big character jack at 15 points can leave them vulnerable to other things. Guess I'm just in the spirit of fewer restrictions Some character jacks (like Drago) aren't overpowered, or even suck compared to some vanilla faction jacks. Maybe banning them for the first two rounds or so, but I think the option should totally open up for them at 25 points. That's enough of a real game.

yea... 25 points seems like a good point to allow character jacks, since then people have enough to deal with them easily.

It's not that I have a problem with character warjacks being allowed, but rather that I think that if the goal of this league is to get people into the game and having fun, it shouldn't just be about winning but about learning. There's time to worry about winning in a tournament. If someone keeps losing to some silly shenanigans like Molik Karn because they're a new player, they're not likely to keep playing. I don't think that's in anyone's best interest.
But if no one thinks it's a big deal then I'll just bring Ol' Rowdy in my 15 point list. I just figured I'd ask before feeling like a jerk for doing so.

That's a totally legitimate concern -- I certainly don't disagree in any way. If this was a Journeyman League or something of the sort geared for newer players, character restrictions make a lot of sense until later on in the league when new players have a better handle on rules. I just didn't think anyone who registered so far was a new player -- to my (admittedly limited!) knowledge, most people who have signed up are familiar/old hands at the game. Those who aren't are up for learning the rules even under high pressure, and want to learn how to play competitively so aren't bothered by heavy hitting combos. That's only my perception, could totally be off base... Not trying to come across as an ass

Well part of it is that I don't really know who's bringing what, or even if there is a Skorne player, I just kinda groaned at the thought of dealing with MK at 15 points - there's really not much you can do against him at such a low level and I figured it might be bad if there were any newer players. I guess if everyone's cool about it then no big deal, I just didn't know if there should be a hard-and-fast rule about it just in case.
So far it doesn't look like characters are featured heavily in anyone's lists anyway so it's no biggie.

I sense some past Molik Karn trauma.
