I had originally posted this thread in the Fantasy forum, thanks Bob, Brian, Aran and Gretchin Mike for your original notes on it.. I am just moving it to the right area of our blog. so here it is . ------------------- You may remember my Grail Knights; they are a dark unit of dudes that may look on bare primer at first. I havent' based them and I originally chose a black-on-terracotta scheme to keep them grim and dark. The fluff behind this unit is that they were the Inquisitors, sent by the Holly Church to clean Bretonnia of the invading Vampires. So they were dark, grim, solemn and very very kept to themselves. BUT... they did look kind of "incomplete" didn't they? they actually did look like they were just recently primed. So I have started the process of renewing them. This is how they will look like. NOTE that Grail knights will be my only "uniformed" unit of knights. There will be yet a second unit of Grailies; these on white colored schemes, to act as the Lady's chaperones... But these will have to wait a bit. What do you think?

Thanks, guys! I appreciate your notes and encouragement. I will work tonight on the Standard Bearer for this unit, with this main idea for the standard. All free hand.

Now these are the final pictures from yesterday night's paint session kindly hosted by Rod and Arleen and during which we had crazy cran-quila (if you really have to ask... it is cranberry juice with tequila; you won't even feel it going up your head, I tell you!). This is the original, first knight from the night before This is a new one; lance forward, just one of the rank-and-file guys Standard Bearer! with my original idea for the standard that I posted last night And the main event of the evening! Three Grail Knights (my progress so far!)

HOLY GRAIL NIGHT, that unit is so great looking that I see no reason to attack them in combat as I think that it wouldn't make the battle as nice looking. great stuff.

No. This is not the unit with the maracas. The guy with the maracas is a musician that I will use for any of my "regular" knights. These Grail ones... you should be scared of these ones! these are the ones with 2 atatcks each, immune to EVERYTHING... (legend says they are even immune to their mom's call for dinner!!) and with WS5, S4... .not bad, huh?

Oh, so you mean almost as good as my Chaos Knights then? Just kidding G, I'm sure our forces will clash eventually and we'll see who has the better knights hahaha.

With their Ward Save, Lances, and Lance Formation, they are more than capable of beating Chaos Knights.
And they look incredible!
