You need an arc node. Asphyxious can handle himself but you don't want to have to get too close before you're ready. Drop the slayer for one of the 4 pt ones (personally I'm a big fan if the nightwretch), add in some brute thralls or a warwitch siren (they're great for Harrowers since you really only need the one focus).
And drop a necrotech... Split the Mechthrall unit into two min units, I find it much more effective than just the one because of their low CMD

Dante might have different advice that's more useful... he actually uses Gaspy.

he was my first caster actually =) and my baby =D
My preference is to run him with more jacks than infantry but he can really do anything, my favorite part about him is he is arguably the most versitile caster in the entire game. 7 focus, a great feat, a buff, a debuff, a cloud, a solid magic shot (hellfire is awesome) and teleport!
I like your list it is something i would run. I would just drop all those support options. Our stuff breaks so fast and its hard to even get a repair so i just don't bother anymore. Maybe im just a pessamist.
Any who skarloc is gold. I would drop the support staff and free up those 5 points and the slayer for 11. Now with those 11 points, play around with whatever you want! More mechthralls? Some banes and BLT? light cav?
O and at least 1 arc node, thats a MUST for asphy. I prefer deathrippers cause they just as a rule don't really fight, and i don't even like having the option to waste focus on nightwretches lol...cause i know i will.
