Thanks for the fun afternoon on Saturday! Despite the slight turn-out, I had a lot of fun talking and chatting and laughing, and had a really fun refresher game! Elephants are still awesome, werewolf tricks are no match for tortured and abused giant 4-armed bipedal elephant meanies! Thanks for putting this together, I hope for more WM events soon!

Yeah, next time I'll make sure to send out reminders to people about the event.

Less reminders, more of lets hammer down a date earlier and keep the ball rolling. ;D

The date was nailed down back in October, there was just some last minute speculation that the event was cancelled - which wasn't true - and I think that got people to back out before I could rally people back.
In the future I'll make sure there are reminders because I had assumed that the event was still happening and didn't see the posts until it was two days prior to the event.

Regular communication is important, especially when logistics haven't been nailed down -- no start time, no missions, no schedule, no sight of the TO for two months... I mean, the last thing you posted when we were discussing the event was whether or not January 5th was a good date. There was never confirmation that it was the date (and only two people committed and said it would work for them). Are we supposed to assume that no word from you until two days prior means that the unconfirmed date, unspecified start time, and unknown scenarios are all happening? I mean no offense, and have no ill will I give you props for even taking the initiative in the first place, as it's important to have TO's willing to get the ball rolling on events like this. I genuinely wanted to come, and was looking forward to it; but without any information I just assumed that you were busy with real-life commitments (as is often the case) and made plans with family instead.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I think at minimum there should be a communication at least two weeks prior to an event listing the official date, start time, cost, basic parameters and a sign up sheet. I don't care about knowing the missions but a source for the ones to be used should be cited as well.
Maybe we can try again soon? If there is any interest.

I'd love to give it another go, but will be tricky once I'm back at school -- but with enough warning and some good weekend scheduling I'd love to come get by butt kicked

Agreed with Brian on everything. Rod offered to book the room as well, thus nailing down the date. Also, when we do a tournament, we get started at 10 a.m. If we don't other plans get in the way, it looses importance, ect. ect. Warpriest, Generally, we cycle the events on a monthly basis. I think the next is either flames or Warhammer 40K.
