Was comparing game systems to someone else, and came up with a question:
Normal units/jacks/beasts come with their card so all the rules you need are included with the model, no need to buy another book.
Is this true for Colossals and Gargantuans too, or do you have to buy their respective big books?

They come with both the cards they need to function in game however I think that the cards themselves may not mention 1 or 2 things, such as what boxes you damage first, however that can be found with a google search fairly quickly.

Just checked my Conquest card on War Room, and it doesn't look like it comes with all the additional Colossal rules on the cards themselves (2" melee range, pathfinder, immunity to out-of-activation movement). However, it does have a whole section on the potential colossal power attacks. I'm not sure if the actual model would come with the necessary rules or not, but that's a good question. As Mikey said, the colossal rules are very easy to come by and have on-hand. Even with War Room, all I have to do is click on the word "colossal" and I can view all the specific rules associated with the model type (the exact ones from the Colossals book).
I'm a pretty big fan of War Room if you have a tablet/smart phone -- having access to all of your model cards (that are updated for the faction when new models are released!), a list builder, a damage tracker, a game clock, etc. is really awesome. Only $7 per faction is nice too, when you only own one or two factions!

Ok, thanks guys.
We were comparing GW structure to PP, discussing that you HAVE to spend $50 on a stupid book to play 40k, but PP you just need to buy the model.

Yeah... well now with 40k you have to spend $100 for TWO different books for your full rules did some more research, the colossal models themselves definitely don't come with the full colossal rules (though they do come with their own cardstock wreck marker). Still, $7 War Room purchase (with official rules; don't have to worry about illegal pdf issues) is good enough for me!
