I have no need for the new shiny. But I want the new shiny. I am tempted by the pretty collectors edition of apocalypse. I don't need but do want...
Admitted, I have a problem.

Yeah... I'm trying to keep myself from picking up the Gamer's Edition... That case is just... WOW...

The gamers edition is not bad considering costs of cases but u are essentially paying for the apoc book and 175.00 case. The collectors edition is great looking and unique but it's truly a collectors item. I am glad gw makes these limited or I prolly would of gotten a gamers case since I need one. But I like to wait and think before I jump into a purchase. I think GW loses alto of sales by going limited quantity.

I don't know when I look at the price point ($250) for those special editions, and then I look at the regular book and one of the new Super heavy kits (~76+160=$236) I think were I spending I'd rather get the model. Or more models for my regular army.

$250 for the Collector's Edition is just absurd. Where does the value of the $175 difference come in? I could understand it being $100 maybe. I understand the Gamer's Edition's price to some extent. Army cases are $100 and that one's a double, so for $175 difference you at least get a case that would hold the same models as 2 $100 cases. I still think it's overpriced, but that's GW for ya.

I couldn't agree more. I just don't see how you justify a book costing $250 unless it's some 500 year old tome.
Think of it this way Tim: would you rather have a case or one of the cool new super heavies?

That's what I needed common sense and some time for my clicky finger to relax.
If I ever start a neuron army I have a cool idea for that new kit...
