Lets see if i can get Dr.C's old idea rolling here again, first let me start off saying ive got the bloodbowl set and played a few games with it today and its really fun and super competitive. I wouldnt want it to de-tract from the campaign but up until the campaign i dont see why we cant try and get the first season started and possibly continue it after or maybe through the campaign for when people dont have a game in the campaign they could still have something to do. When i do show up at the store i will be sure to bring my set and teach whom ever i can how the game works.
Just putting it out there.
And why not, my team i wanna use is
"30 Minutes or Less"
12 Goblins 2 Trolls 2 fanfactor
thats what im thinking ill start with for now

Just wanted to go into detail about my team "30 minutes or less" 30 minutes or less is a goblin pizza delivery service that is renound for their amazing ability to deliver on time and for their horrid tasting pizza, they formed their own team because no team would dare be assosiated with them.

Hey, I got the minis for my team so if someone wants to give me a reason to paint them in the near future, I'm all in! Until the start of the campaign, I'm going to be pretty busy with stuff, but I would love to help get it off the ground. When I get back I'll set up a page on the website for you if you'd like with a link to the rules download on the GW site.

I believe Vassal just launched (or was close to launching) Blood Bowl on their site, so that would definitely help people to get games in, even if they're playing the map campaign as well.

Dr.C odds are you or me will be running the league if it starts up and now that i know the rules looking over the newer rule set some of the stuff in it seems just complicated for the sake of complicating things, really its only the team ratings, now what i was thinking was just taking the revised teams and the revised skill list over to the box set rule book and playing from there sadly not everyone has easy access to those books other then buying the starter kit, so im stuck on this one not sure what to do if anyone has any idea tell me

I would be leaning towards using the current rules system, since because it is available for free download from GW, it is the one we know everyone can have access to, and is also probably the one the Vassal system is/will be based on, so everyone will be on the same page. I haven't looked at my older rulebook in a while - when I was looking over the stuff earlier this year when I had the idea of the Blood Bowl league I read through the pdf file of the current rules, and they seemed straightforward enough. I think a good time for this would be late summer, as the campaign will be beginning to wind down and then save for probably ordo tournaments and maybe an apocolypse event, there will be a void that a league like that would fill nicely. Also NFL preseason starts in late summer so people will be in the football frame of mind Are you ready for some carnage?!?

the only thing from the newer book that bugged me was the team rating system i preferred the just drop the last 4 zeros off of every number to figure it out other then that its all easy enough with a couple read overs

And Dr.C i was thinking of running a 'Stunty Cup' one that favors the stunty teams not because i play one but because those teams do need a bost or a motive to be played
