Not to out nerd you guys....but that isn't an XWING chassis, it is a Y-Wing. Y-wings, depicted in episode IV "a new hope" are seen making a bombing run on the death star. They are generally slower, and carry a higher payload. Xwings are a superiority fighter, and my favorite, the A-Wing (seen in Return of the Jedi) is an interceptor and has incredible speed.

Also the top picture has a Tie-interceptor and Y wing, the middle is a tie advanced and a Y-wing engine, and the bottom a standard Tie-fighter melded with a Ywing cockpit.

Actually, the top is the Z-95 Headhunter, the original Alliance Starfighter, melded with a TIE Interceptor. The Middle is indeed a TIE Advanced with the Y-Wing nacelles, and the bottom was right as well. The original post, was indeed an X-Wing hull with a pair of TIE Fighter wings.

Back in January I made the resolution to behave and buy as less minis as possible (that word has so many angles ;D), so far I’ve been good and my unpainted pile of minis has not grown (much), so considering that X-Wing minis are pre-painted and the game is awesome, I’m about to buy a second starter set and maybe a Y-Wing. I’ve played the game with the equivalent to two starter sets (2 X-Wings, 4 TIEs) and I’m at the no return point
What do you guys think about the game?, I would really like to read about the experiences from those that have played it already

Vince and I have been playing almost every night this week. Vince bought a tie-advanced and has his eyes on the slave one. I have my eye on the falcon. So far I found the cards make a huge difference. Playing the x-wing with R2-D2 helps a lot as you can regain shields. That and the marksman card made the x-wing a tough kill. Two thumbs up from Vince and I.

Bryant, I missed the first post, but touché. The old school Z95 Headhunter....well played sir. Rod and I played our first game, and in true inept Empire fashion, I blew my tie fighters apart in one on one dogfights. Rod's Ion cannon was devastating as well.

Finally I was able to play in the last few days 100 point games and they’re everything that I was expecting, the feeling of dog-fights remains there and more ships add complexity and depth to the game without taking away the fun, maybe I’ll try some scenarios next, but first I need to play with the Millennium Falcon and see how that works
I’m sure you can tell, but can’t avoid say that I’m really excited with this game, even more with Randy, Vince and Kevin who are now also very involve on it

nice finds Kevin! the second list builder is really neat, although I like that the first one has the images of the cards

So that means the Super Star Destroyer Executioner would take up his entire house?
