I think some of you know that I always wanted to play Dark Elves in WH Fantasy, however I never got around the project; just recently Kev brought Mordheim and the idea of the campaign, so this was the perfect situation to start a small Dark Elves warband without spending hundreds of dollars on models, so I paused my Necron project and got to work on some DE, the project is already in advance status, but wanted to show you the two conversions I did for this project. Lets start with the "Family" picture, the Highborn and his retinue, 2 Fellblades, 1 Witch, 1 Beastmaster and 4 Corsairs with spears and shields, the bases are going to be snowed rough terrain, which is also another theme that I been long trying to do. The only two conversions are the Fellblades, which are supposed to be big mean dudes, specialized in close combat, so I chose the Dark Eldar Wracks (W40K) and remove any trace of high technology and added cape, which will represent Sea Dragon Cloaks when painted I tried to make the cape flow with the pose of the model and make it look like its folds are product of the dynamic As I mentioned above the painting is already half way done for the whole warband, so I'll try to post some more pictures later on the week all comments are welcome (as usual)

Good looking stuff here Rod. The capes look great, especially the folds around the neck. Cloth can be hard to get like it's flowing but you've done a great job. Looks like you rolled it out first then cut it to shape?

yep, you have a good eye Tim, well maybe two good eyes I use two floor tiles to flat the green stuff and get it as thin as needed, then (following your teachings) do the folds with the rubber tool

Looks really sharp. Looking forward to seeing them with some paint on them.
