You have failed me for the last time...

So, there's no way that I managed to break even on my pledge. I stopped keeping track around June, where I was about 20 models behind, and I've certainly bought more than I've painted since then. I might have been in good shape had some of my fall tournament plans panned out, I was intent on getting most of my Khador army painted but tournaments were cancelled and I procrastinated a bit too much to really get ahead on everything that I'd wanted to. I did paint some infantry and solo's to a respectable level, and here are some pictures of two guys I put finishing touches on yesterday with Tim's help... excuse the bad pictures, not sure why they suck so much!
Boris the Conquest:
Major thanks to Tim for this guy -- he helped me to airbrush the red, and walked me through the weathering process. Finishing touch was to pick up the airbrush again and do the OSL for the eyes. I might do a few touch ups here and there, but he's definitely done enough!
Orsus Zoktavir, the Butcher Unleashed:
This guy was a fancy limited edition model I got for my birthday... he's the newest version of the Butcher caster, and an absolute monster. I painted him during the past semester, but wanted to do some gore effects. Tim helped me out there... initially it was just supposed to be on his axe, but then the red haze overtook me... I got a little overzealous and now he's soaked. Tim even sculpted a heart for him to hold in his left hand (which is hard to see in my bad picture, but it's covered in blood)!
So, next year I'm going to try and make good on this whole pledge thing. I still have to finish the Dwarves from last year's Hobbit set(!!!), and I want to keep chipping away at my Khador collection -- hopefully by the end of the semester I can have a few 50 point list options available to me. Of course, new Tyranids are only a week and a half away... so I'm sure I'll be buying some of those suckers and getting them added to Hive Fleet Jackalope. We'll see how the next year goes! For now, I'll hang my head in shame at my failure and hope that the Butcher doesn't show up on my doorstep.
