Hey all. I know I don't need to post any hate or flame for what has happened to Warhammer Fantasy so if anyone is interested here is an informal warhammer 9th edition ruleset. I read through it and to me it seemed solid enough to 8th to call it a new edition but fixed a couple of the problems. Personally I have no interest to play AOS. I don't need another skirmish game in my life and the haphazardly thrown together rules and ridiculous lore has completely turned me off. I can only give my sympathy to those competitive players who played the system from 5 to 20 years, you wont get what you ever had in the past back but this might help mend some of the damage. This group is also taking the time to rewrite many of the army books to bring them into line. Currently only the Beastmen book has been rewritten but it looks really good to me, even fixed some old beastmen problems! Give it a look and tell me what you think. It's been a long time since I have checked up on the system, but it looks like they finished a while ago. Apparently a total change of nearly all the rules, making it a nice hybrid of 7th/8th editions. They have redone all of the army books and magic too! I'm pretty interested in this, and if anyone else is looking for a bash this summer I can try and make it down where ever we gather now a days to give it a shot. This is the page with everything you need! www.the-ninth-age.com/?simple-page/

I've been using the 9th age rules for and while and while I'd prefer good old 8th, 9th age is certainly more balanced and a lot of fun. Really it's just all the names changes for rules/units to get used to, it can take awhile. I'd definetly be down for some 9th age action over the summer, and I have an abundance of fantasy armies if anyone else wants to try it out.
