I like this idea. Let's go with it. I also like rods point about having a funky Mobile battle later on using Jims H shape but with blood guts and glory.
I like not trying to simulate too much. Rods historical points are well taken. I don't want to make the game too abstract. This keeps it grounded
I'm excited for saturday!

10am. This way we can get deployment done so we can be rolling dice no later than 11.

Nice. Just to be clear, we aren't using aircraft right?

The other time we played Bastogne we did allow the use of aircraft, but I guess it really wasn't used because of the weather. Since a large part of the table is going to be forested, and we're going to be on top of each other quickly, I wouldn't recommend it, but that's something that needs to be agreed upon ASAP so we can all finalize our lists... We only have a couple days.

I would also like to add, in case I have not already, that I think we should use Nuts, Devil's Charge, and the digital additions for Devil's Charge, but no tank companies, as this was not a tank battle. This is, of course a suggestion and I want everyone to give their own opinions.

Giving the scenario conditions, I also think that we should not use Tank Coys nor the BG&G book, other than that, all Nuts! and Dev Chrg book and digital lists should be available for everybody.
1420pts companies for each player, now I'm not sure if for balance purpose we should give an extra company to the German side, maybe an under-strength company of 1000pts (~70%), keep in mind that all US side is going to be dug-in and maybe even behind some fortifications.
I think Wes is thinking to join, maybe he would like to send some Grenadiers to their death, I'm sure that should be fun for him.
Thanks Shane everything helps, you never know when you can come across great ideas, haven't check the document in detail but I'll promise to take a look tomorrow, I mean, in a few hours after a good night sleep

I like the idea of an infantry-based game... It would make it a lot more realistic.

The German side created a big private message with all the players, maybe the allies should get on that

So we have Wes coming in, Rod, if you can bring your Americans, we can have Wes jump in on their side and we should have an even number.
