Hey everyone, I am a rather new player to warhammer 40k and had gotten the card for this website from Hobbytown. That was quite a while ago but then I began thinking about it more and more and I am asking if anyone would like to help me get better introduced with the game. I have a basic understanding of the rules and with a little practice I feel I could become proficient in no time. If anyone would like to help a new guy out that would be much appreciated.

I'm not the expert you'll want, but we have a lot of 40k players with armies to try out. This weekend a lot of people are busy, since we are starting a flames of war campaign tomorrow. But wait a day or two and someone will give you a game. Next weekend is pretty open and I think folks will be around

That's perfectly fine I have a decent amount of models for necrons, I had gotten a great deal, so I definitely have enough models for a small army and as for next weekend that works for me just trying to find some help in any way possible.

Hey sorry for such a late response but I got into the collecting and painting and have quite the collection going. So I got a decent sized blob of warriors, enough for 2 squads or more, immortals triarchs, ghost arks, a night and doom scythe, some hqs including crypteks lords and overlords. So I got a decent haul of stuff to work with and could easily put a list together for learning the game better.

A 500 point game would be best for learning. What day/time works best for you?

one quick question Vincent, what kind of list should I be making? Battleforged or just unbound either is fine by me

Hey if it's cool with you vince and bon, I'd like to stop by Saturday as well. I've been pretty busy the past few months and want to get back into 40k.

I don't have a problem with this, maybe we can start a 40k campaign I know people have been interested in doing that. Don't do a "unbound list" it is one of the worst mechanics in the game and very few people like it.

Alright because I know a decurion is difficult and not worth it in a 500 pt list Ill put together a combined arms. And yeah a campaign would be awesome to do if we get enough people

We tried to do a campaign a while ago but only one person was willing to commit to it. If you two are interested in startin up a campaign I am sure we can get one or two more people willing to play.

Personally, a narrative sounds much more fun than a tournaments to me due to how metas appear. Over time it sounds boring as hell, so yeah to get some more guys for a campaign would be a great way to start off.

Plus a campaign isn't as competitive as a tournament is.
