Not sure this will be terribly effective, but is fluffy and fun: Doombull with Great Weapon, Heavy Armour, Mark of Khorne Wargor BSB with Chaos Armour and Mark of Khorne Wargor with Hvy Armour, Great Weapon, Mark of Khorne 14 Bestigors with FC, Mark of Khorne Beastherd (8/8) with FC 4 Minos with Great Weapons and Mark of Khorne 4 Minos with Great Weapons and Mark of Khorne 4 Minos with Great Weapons and Mark of Khorne 2 Chaos Spawn with Mark of Khorne Fred the Giant 2x 5 Chaos Warhounds 6 Chaos Warhounds 2001 pts This is what I'm painting up next, intend to use for potential fantasy tourney in Fairfield. It's fast, can hit hard, has fun fluffy things, and manages to score 9 dispel dice with no wizards

Hm, I have no idea what Beasts of Chaos do so I can't really comment! Is it similar to the one you used against me? I seem to vaguely remember that list.

Khornecows are 0-2, but at least the second fight against Evan's HE was a close-run thing! 750-550 for the HE tonight in a 1200 pt game. Need to re-think this

Here's a re-visit:
The intent is to add more cheap screening units, and more mino units (though same total number). To do this I had to drop one of the Wargors, but gain screening, and flexibility for multi-charges:
Doombull MoK Hvy Arm, GW
Wargor BSB Hvy Arm, Pelt of Dark Young, Sword of Might
Beastherd (5/5) with Champ, Music
Beastherd (5/5) with Champ, Music
13 Khornegors with FC, Warbanner
4x 3 Minotaurs with MoK, Great Weapons
2 Chaos Spawn of Khorne
fRed the giAnt
2x 5 Warhounds
6 Warhounds

Chaos Giant (1#, 205 Pts) 1 Chaos Giant @ 205 Pts Causes Terror; Large Target; Stubborn
Total Roster Cost: 2245
Manages 11 Dispel Dice and 14 Deploys. Fewer smaller Mino units should allow for more opportunities for flanking attacks. More smaller beastherds should allow for better screening and bait & flee.
I think this list is far stronger, with more protection against ranged attacks and greater opportunities for winning combats with something other than brute force.
I'm hoping for some feedback on how to drop 250 pts for the potential Fairfield 2000 pt tourney.

Would the Fairfield tourney be 2000? Damn that would mean I'd have to shave 250 from the Kingdom of the Zombies as well... For yours I would say dropping a beast herd and a mino unit would probably be the easiest way to do it. Still leave you with a dozen deploys and a dozen minotaurs. By the way did you already have all those minotaurs from the old days or did you have to pick up any? Either way I'm impressed - I think I only managed 8 in my doombull army, and a few of those were the ugly plastic ones Looks like a solid list. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action. Once you get them all painted we'll have to do a 'beast on beast' battle at some point.

I never thought about it untill I faced bob but, having a lot of deploys helps you because you get to see what your opponent has.

I own 18 total minos, from many different time frames...some are lead, only slightly larger than man-sized, with no clothes or weapons...others are from the latest molds. 2 of them are standard bearers, but I decided that having flags in there might give away more points than it'd earn. I didn't know there were any plastic minos, would like to see them!

It does seem to make a difference. Since playing Bob a few times, I've started thinking about number of deploys when making lists. When push comes to shove, I'll always go with the big cool models that are fun to paint over a ton of foot troops, just beause I've painted so much stuff already I try to avoid having to paint lots of troops nowadays. But when it comes to splitting up minotaur units into groups of three or throwing in a spawn or two or a unit of five hounds for extra deploys, I'm defintely following in Bob's footsteps in future lists. I already did it to some extent in my chaos list and got I think 10 deploys out of it, counting the character deploy.

Actually the switch to 3-cow mino units wasn't really motivated to get more deploys, but to give opportunity to get flank charges in. It costs a lot more points (because Marks are by unit, not by model), but I'd rather have ability to charge front and flank at the same time to ensure wins than a bigger unit get just the front.
More deploys is nice, helps a lot...and since I like to have cheap throw-away units for bait & flee, it fits together nicely.

It is hard to get allot of deploys when you want cool stuff.

Things are pretty grim for Moloch's stamped.
The beastherds came out mostly unscathed...I somehow have an extra pair of Gor horns.
The bestigors were completely unbroken, but all the weapons were bent up...some to the point that when I straightened they feel about to snap: they'll break soon, I fear.
fRed had a hand and leg broken off, and numerous paint chips.
In fact, everying that had been painted will need tons of touchup.
The dogs all look ok, missing an ear from one, otherwise no harm.
Only six of 17 minotaurs were unbroken. Took me most of last night to sort everyone out...looks like an airplane wreck investigation, with little piles of parts here and there around my desk. Lots of re-gluing and re-painting coming up.
Khorne is clearly not pleased.
