Hey guys.
Quick announcement here for you, and a bit of a sad one too: Eric and I are contemplating postponing the 40k summer campaign.
Why, you ask? Well, there are three main reasons: the first one is that Eric has been very busy with work/home life over the past three months, and I was swamped with an intense amount of school work. This meant that we couldn’t use that vital three month period to plan the campaign, and right now we don’t have enough concrete groundwork to make the campaign run effectively. Secondly, the Flames of War Escalation League ambushed us and has quickly taken off: many club members are interested in learning FoW and starting out new armies for that game system, which will take up most of their hobby energy this summer. Finally, the new edition of Warhammer Fantasy is being released and some members are going to want to try out the new rules system to get a feel for them. All of these will detract from time focused on the summer campaign.
Eric and I fear that with the conflicting FoW campaign, we wouldn’t get the maximum interest or devotion to a 40k campaign as many members would have to juggle between the two. And we aren’t comfortable with the prep work we have; giving ourselves more time to work and prepare the campaign would make it ten times awesomer (that’s not even a word). With that in mind, we’d both like to put off the campaign until the FoW Escalation League is over and we have more time and energy to devote towards making a 40k campaign as good as possible. We hope you guys understand, and are willing to run with this. It’s not completely definite yet, but it’s what we would both like to do.
Any questions/comments/concerns/criticisms/jeremiads are welcome. Let us know what you think of this idea.
