Welcome to Forward Kommander
Version: Casters: 1/1
Points: 35/35 Kingdom of Lylyth, Herald of Everblight * Shredder * Shredder * Carnivean * Scythean Blighted Nyss Archers (Leader and 9 Grunts) Blighted Ogrun Warspears (Leader and 4 Grunts) Blighted Nyss Shepherd
So I would need to get my hands on a full unit of archers, I figure they might be good with lylth. She's also not meant to be beast heavy. I think the combined bombardment option is intriguing. I also like the look of the raptor models.
I am still learning the game so I am open for suggestions.
I know Bob suggested absylonia, who I may want to try. Pthagrosh is also on my list. Some of the lesser beasts look interesting, but I'm not sure which ones are good. I checked battle college, but I'm curious as to what people like or are afraid of. My birthday is coming up and I think legion is on my list.
I also like the idea of going full evil. So models that murder things or blow up to make grosser things are definitely appealing. The legion guys that can blow up and create incubi, is awesome. Also a giant kettle full of corpses? Yes please. Wait it even makes little warbeast from dead bodies? Double yes.
I am interested in making two lists long term, one, a competitive list that can move fast, assasinate, and fight heavy war beasts. Second, one that is as disgusting as possible. Thoughts?

I think the "must-haves" for Legion that you still want are a Forsaken solo and an Angelius heavy warbeast. Both of them are really strong pieces, and I think they have cool models too! Oh, and the War Spear Chieftain. He's a unit attachment (think sergeant upgrade) for your Warspears who *vastly* increases their functionality. I wouldn't run them without him! If you're running the Blighted Archers, I would get the unit attachment for them as well... he lets them all make an additional shot! For warlocks... Absylonia is a really awesome beast warlock, can't go wrong there. I'm a big fan of pThagrosh as well! Saeryn and eVayl are generally regarded as the "strongest" of the Legion warlocks, both run lots of heavy warbeasts. I think Lylith's different variations are cool too -- eLylith looks quite potent, especially with a more ranged army. For lesser warbeasts, I'm not sure what folks usually run... the Shredder has an excellent animus. I really like the Harriers (the flying ones), as their animus lets them autohit with an attack and they can charge from pretty far away... they're like little rockets designed to fly into a high priority enemy solo and tear them to shreds! For infantry, the "favorites" are Legionnaires, the Spawning Vessel, the War Spears (with the UA) and the Striders (the Striders may be a bit better for you than the Archers... fewer models, but they wind up being cheaper and are more independent so can work in many lists regardless of caster support). Lots of Legion players don't run any infantry at all (one of the guys at Gamer's Gambit does that for one of his lists), but those look like the stronger staples. Of course, use whatever you like/want! For creepy horror disgusting stuff... have you seen the Afflictor?! It's a warbeast with a giant tail stinger, if you kill someone with it you turn them into an Incubi! Incubi are great too, but you need some units for them to possess... the lunch pot is actually a strong competitive option too, as well as being hilarious. A common tactic is when you desperately need another warbeast, the attendants kill each other to throw their own bodies into the pot for consumption! Absylonia and the Forsaken are horrifying mutants who can make troops (friendly or enemy!) run away if they get too close... that rounds out your theme well. Just throwing some ideas out there. Your list looks good, though again I would try and find some room for those unit attachment upgrades. I think a Ravagore is a really good warbeast too, hard to choose between him and the Scythean. I'd love to get a game in sometime soon!
