George, Rod, and I were looking to attend a preview tournament, and others are welcome to join us.
It looks like we have a few options here:
1) Brothers Grim - Selden, NY We were invited - Saturday, May 31 - 10:00 - $10 - includes pizza for lunch
2) Time Machine - Machester, CT Sunday, June 1 - 1:00 - $7 entry fee
3) Dragon's Den - Poughkeepsie, NY Saturday, May 31 - 6:00 - $15 entry fee
There may be others within a 90 minute radius, but I don't know NY and Mass well enough

I called Dragon's Den, and they're finding out info for me, but Time Machine in Manchester, CT is holding their tournament Sunday @1 $7 entry fee.

I called Dragon's Den back, and their tournament is @6 Saturday - $15 entry fee. The woman told me each player will receive a ship, with the top 2 places receiving an additional ship. However, in the final round you will be playing the faction that your ship belongs to, not necessarily the one you signed up with... I will bring all my toys with me.

Dragon's Den Event Description Having read this, it sounds like what I was told on the phone was not correct. The top 2 players will each build a 100 point list which must include both ships from one faction, as well as anything from their existing collection. I believe that everyone (the top 16 players) will receive the preview event exclusive z-95 card and the top 4 players will each receive one of the ships used in the final game, with preference given to the first place player, then second, and so on.

Well, having beaten me in round one, George placed 2nd, I placed 3rd, and Rod placed 4th. We each came home with a preview ship, the z-95 tournament cards, and the guy threw in a gold squadron game night card and 2 plastic stress tokens each. We had a great time.
