I have to recognize that I had doubts about the Epic game play when they announced it, but it is really a great addition to the standard game and the new rules retained the original game sweet balance, there are still upgrade cards that have very little use and a few that are really strong, but in general nothing over the top; while at the same time it doesn't nullify the original game and the best thing of all the big ships are just beautiful models, pre-painted as well.
So we had our second Epic game, this time with the brand new Tantive IV and it was just a lot of fun.
Insert evil laugh here
This is the initial deployment, clearly the rebels were looking to create a traffic jam and use their big ships to ram the Empire fleet
All Empire ships rushing to get in lasers range
The transport missed its mark and came just short to ram the Shuttle and the TIE bombers, while two TIE fighters pull a nice maneuver and fly between the two big ships
In the meantime on the other flank the YT-1300s keep exchanging laser shots with the TIE Interceptors
The TIE Interceptors at the end shot down the one of the YT-1300s and the TIE Fighters took care of the Rebel Transport
