Unless i have a really slow summer.... For Today, I finished my 3 Tigers and my Pak 40 platoon's basing (3 guns and a cmd team) Pics below. The Smoke pieces will be airbrushed a couple of different colors of Grey, 50 shades maybe, but for now, they're built. And I think they look neat.

Looking good and I love the idea of a painting queue.
Those smoke pieces already look great, once airbrushed will be awesome I'm sure.
Also, this is a family friendly forum, no references to twilight fan fiction here buddy!

Winter Display Board for SS Kampfgruppe Pieper? Done. More models completed tomorrow and will follow with more pictures....its good to be finished with school. I used a foam cutter to make some of the base hills, and also cut into the foam to make treads that simulate roads. I spackled the top in places, spray painted white, then sprayed with 3 layers of brown in textured parts. I then followed up with a dusting of 3 types of grit (varied in size and color) after I pre swabbed some glue and water over areas I wanted covered. Then a layer of 2 types of grasses, and finally a dusting of snow. Next steps are going to be some hand made fences and road signs to bastogne and St Vith or Foy. As well as some varied rocks. The major rock pieces are decorative bark. I glued them down, then sprayed with dark grey, followed by light gray for layering, and finally a dry brush of very light stone. I love the effect. I think this is sloppy and my sculpting could use some work, but this is a good first try. I also want to do a water effect next time, but need to look for some good tutorials to do that properly. Enjoy! more to come tomorrow.

As far as sculpting goes, after cutting the foam to shape your hills, sand the edges and cut faces a bit with a fine grit sand paper and wrapped around a block. It'll make a huge mess, but it's worth it for smoothing things out.
It looks great. The pieces of bark were perfect, and well painted to give the appearance of rock.

Looks fantastic Tom, well done! I was wondering why you added the red car but then realized it is a window in the background and the car is real. The dirty window has a nice snow effect

More finished today Decals, dry brush, and wash. I think the mud is too dark, I'm sticking with sepia or red wash from now on, its a lighter brown, and shouldn't take away as much of the details Pumas, Flammenpanzer Hetzers, and a two tank platoon of standard Hetzers. Halftracks are next. Then the Panthers, which I have to magnetize, because I don't like the way the plastic turrets quite fit together.

Halftracks X12 Done. I did a basic airbrush on them, and then painstakingly painted each of their stupid faces. PSC halftracks come with more dudes. Battlefronts don't. I generally found the dudes BF made easier to paint. But they will barely be glanced at, and will act as placeholders in most lists. So I don't expect these guys to see the table very often. I do think this makes me both the first and only German player to have fully painted halftracks. Did you hear that? it was the sound of a gauntlet falling. I went with a really funky color scheme on the Panthers too. I'll post those end of week when I have them done up with decals and detail work. The Jagdtiger is also done.
