Lets do that, I called Shane and he only has the one table. I have one too, but I think we need more than that.
11am at the store it is. My apologies guys, Contact or text anyone you can to let them know we are doing it at the store. I'll also change the opening post, and the title.
So in the end its 1500 pts per list, 3 on 1 on both sides. we'll play on a tighter board with less terrain outside of the city itself. And I'll have my awesome bridge ready to go.
Sorry I wasn't able to pull together the tables folks, its on me. But we'll have an awesome game tomorrow nonetheless.

Thanks again for such an awesome game yesterday, guys! I've posted some pics on my blog, you can see a couple below.I have to say, of all the big FOW games I've played at the store; Bulge, and a couple of D-Days, this one was the most fun. Maybe it's just me, but I think part of it comes down to the fact that even though it was certainly a big game, it didn't feel as big as the others, which ended up making it more manageable. From where I was, it seemed like everyone had an important role to play, and nobody was left out. What does everyone else think? Highlight of the game for me has to be Rod and I carefully deliberating how we are going to tag team an assault onto the bridge, only to find Randy's steaming his Stugs forward regardless, without a care in the world - absolutely hilarious, and exactly the kind of thing I love to see! I will never forget that. Bring on the next game!

Yeah it was a fun game. They usually are. I think it was the first "big game" we actually finished. I didn't even know Shane and Rod were cooking up a strategy. I'm more of a Patton guy, keep moving forward! I'm going to go check out the additional photos on Shane's blog now.

Thank you to everyone for coming out. Thank you to Tom for coming up with a layout and scenario outside of the typical defensive battle. I think it went well overall, as the game lasted many turns over three to four hours. The fighting started on turn 1 and intensified turn after turn until we reached the breaking point.
The allied attackers put steady even pressure all around on my defenses. One side broke my minefields and the other broke my infantry. My defenses were about to shatter as Shane's armor rolled onto the objective. Another turn or two and I would have been cleaning up my stuff. After setup I had very little knowledge of how things were going on the other table, other than to say that my allies were making progress.
I think it's important to coordinate lists when playing at or below 1500 points. No list is really complete at this level, so somebody else has to take on a role that you can't fill on your own. Randy and Shane had pretty balanced lists, while Rod was definitely the artilleryman. If we could have coordinated better, Randy or Shane could have cut back on something they had to get recon into one of the lists. This would have given us the opportunity to raise gone to ground on a team and double Rod's chances of landing the holy pie plate with the legendary Time on Target. On the other table, the allies seemed to have more coordinated lists. Wes brought infantry with artillery, armour, and HMGs to suppress defending teams. George had infantry with artillery and engineers to break fortifications. Vince had infantry with LMGs, AT guns, and planes. I think the only reason they didn't break me earlier was they had too much on the table to keep track of and efficiently coordinate. Had a couple more obsevers made their way into second floor windows there would have been nothing I could do. Had there been some 5.5s in the area they would have obliterated me in my tiny square of table. Time on Target is terrifying, but a Mike Target with 5.5s in the mix says, "Move or die."
I did not envy Tom for the position of being under Rod's bombardment. Whenever we play I look to the other players' positions and lists and wonder what to do differently. In Tom's case... Roll better. Yeah... That's my best advice... With a ton of Fearless Veteran infantry, you would think he would have lasted a little longer, but with all the ones and twos I saw him roll... Plus all the breakthrough guns pointed at him... Tom, I'm sorry.
Shane, you're not the only one with Russians... Perhaps the next big game could be from the Eastern Front...

Thanks all for the game. It was a great end to a busy week; Just hanging out and rolling some dice. Needing 6's for most of the game, I don't think I've ever rolled so many 5's in my life... Oh well, my boys were pushing there at the end, and another turn or two would have us swarming the German objective. Great photos, Shane! But your Stugs can go to hell...

I love the Dr. Evil pose Randy has going in the background. I think the game wound up looking like I wanted. Everyone got involved, it was close, there was a lot of action and drama. I had a good time. And man....can I roll a LOT of ones? I usually take infantry because I seem to be good at rolling 3 + infantry saves. not this day. I also failed 6 fearless morale tests at various points. Still, I took a lot of German men and equipment with me, and we had some bloody and fun assaults. I couldn't really focus on what was happening on the other side, I was too busy trying not to die. Really good game, thanks again to everyone for coming out. I tried to make sure I got good shots for WWPD. I wanted you guys to look good!
