What about dropping the shaggoth for another unit of knights? The plastics are pretty cheap and you would have some points left over for a dispel scroll. And having two units of knights to back up the trolls would work well for you, I think.

Yeah its only a 5 point difference between the knight unit I have set up and the 5 man troll unit. So then it becomes the question as to which would be better.... 5 more knights, or 5 more trolls.
the trolls have a lot more wounds but can act stupid, and they add to the monstrous nature of the list. I get the dispel scroll and the knight champion as well.
The knights are reliable... more so than much of the rest of the list. I get the dispel scroll and have 18 points left for something.
The shaggoth is really cool.
So I guess those are the options to finish the list off.
Im leaning towards the extra troll unit at the moment. I started with only 9 in the list and if I go through with this idea itll have doubled to 18 which seems really cool. A true troll horde for throgg to lead.

All three are pretty respectable choices, so when in doubt, go with theme

2237
Daemon Prince - Lv 4 wizard, mark of tzeentch, tendrils of tzeentch, fury of the blood god - 555
Chaos Sorcerer - Lv 2 wizard, mark of tzeentch, steed, Infernal puppet, conjoined homoculous - 211
Chaos Sorcerer - Lv 2 wizard, mark of tzeentch, steed, power familiar, dispel scroll - 206
Throgg the Troll King - 175
4 Trolls - 180
4 Trolls - 180
4 Trolls - 180
4 Trolls - 180
5 Warhounds - 30
5 Warhounds - 30
5 Chaos Knights - full command, mark of tzeentch, blasted standard - 310
So I have all these models now. Busy converting a bunch of bloodletters into trolls, and thinking of paint scheme. So hopefully in a few weeks when winter break starts Ill have plenty of time to get the building painting process well along. And by after christmas you should see this army popping up for a few intro into fantasy games in order to get ready for the fantasy league that will eventually start and the february fantasy tournament.

Make a 1000 point list, we'll try to get a small learning game in...maybe you vs one of the other newer fantasy players, like Matt? I'll be your guide in to the wonderful world that is WFB!

So I was operating under an old or wrong assumption(I had the 5thedition rulebook as well as the old high elves army book) that bound magic items only got to fire their spell once.
However since picking up the 7th edition rule set and reading it, I find that they can fire their spells every turn.
So my question is since I have some extra points left to do the upgrade. Should I give the knights the banner of wrath(bound spell magic missle) or keep the blasted standard(ward save vs. shooting)?
