i'd wash after highlights rather than before brian Washing after the highlighting will help them all blend together. The was I do after the basecoat it to provide the base weathered/aged parchment look.

Another question -- do you highlight the black armor before or after you do everything else on the model? I've always done it after, but I'm beginning to wonder if doing it beforehand could work out well (or not)... wanted to hear some experience from you painting pro's

I usually do the highlighting on the black as one of the last things I do. If your painting robes or other detail on the armor like skulls, purity seals, chains ect. you don't have to worry about messing up highlight work if you slip with your brush or if paint runs. You can just go over it with your armor color as opposed to repainting the armor and highlights on the area.

So just a quick update, didn't get a ton done over the weekend but I did take a pic of my currently painted necron models. All are fully painted but a few things need their bases done/finished. In total there's close to 1800pts but isn't a legal army list. -1x Destroyer Lord -2x Destroyers -2x Heavy Destroyers -3x Canoptek Arcanthrites -5x Deathmarks -5x Immortals with gauss -25x Warriors -18x Scarab Swarms -2x Annihilation Barges -1x Monolith -1x Nightshroud Bomber

Dang, these are really nice! They have a super realistic effect tot them, and of course super grimy. The plasma guns look really good as well.

Yay Typhus! Such a cool dude. You've done him justice. Very clean dirty work. The base is nice too, resin? Now you just need zombies!

Thanks Tim. Big T is one of my favorite models GW has done and one of the things that drew me to Nurgle. But I'm trying to decide on what zombies, I don't have your GS skill so full custom isn't a real option but I ordered a box of the puppet war zombies, they look really nice but are expensive so I wanted to get a few in person before I decide if I want to commit to the cost of 30 more. I figure ill start with one unit at a time so I'm not overwhelmed. I'm also considering the mantic line of zombies as a chaper option.
