I have removed everything we didn't do from the calendar and it looks pretty sad. I'm thinking we do a tournament for X-wing or Armada in September (probably Armada because of the campaign coming out later), Team Yankee in October, Tanksgiving in November and the new Armada campaign in December. I would like to fit in a FOW tournament and another tournament for Star Wars (whichever we didn't do in September). Thoughts?

Hey! When are you thinking of doing the event at my place? Will it be the last game of the campaign? If so, Tom you have to bring your bridge!

I guess unless someone has a good reason why we shouldn't I think we should plan on an Armada tournament for September, a Team Yankee tournament for October, an X-Wing tournament and Tanksgiving for November, and a 1750 MW FOW tournament and an Armada campaign for December.

There's a 1750 MW Tournament in Lancaster, Pa on Nov 5th.... A number of players appear to be attending so a "Tune up" event before then would be appreciated.... Oct.15th or 22nd???

My thinking was that we should do events for other games, since we have played FOW for the last 2 months and will be playing it in November for Tanksgiving. I figured tuning could be done by coming for regular games, but if people would rather do that than Team Yankee, we could switch the order.

I agree with Kevin, I think by the time our campaign ends, a lot of folks will want some xwing, armada, or new things. I'm happy to help you tune your list jim, since I'm going to Fall in in November too.

Maybe this is the completely wrong venue for this kind of comment, but how does everyone feel about trying to get more people involved at the club? Maybe some public events, or outreach. I know GG might have impacted the younger crowd somewhat, but I would love to see the club grow.

I'm up for that. We've had a lot of people leave for Gamer's Gambit over the past year and a half. And we haven't had a lot of new folks coming in. I don't know the last time we worked at getting new folks involved? I know we've held beginner kinds of things, but I don't know that we've done the best job publicizing it. Any ideas? I'd also suggest we make a new thread for this topic, so we don't clog the scheduling tab with our planning

How about we schedule a team event "Guadacanal" or "Iwo Jima" out of Banzai in January? Each team would play all four missions..... over the course of two weekends? Two players per team..... This event could generate some interest as we could team up a Vet with a Conscript? and who would turn down the chance to play Marines!

A few things to think about: 1) Are we doing an X-Wing tournament? 2) If so, when? 3) When are we doing Tanksgiving? 4) What are we doing for Tanksgiving?
